"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
~Abraham Lincoln

Today is a rather sad day for me.. My brother,Mike, would have turned fifty, but he died five years ago from cancer. His short life was lived to the fullest. He did what he wanted to do, he enjoyed life and his  family(wife and four children) to the max..
It is days like this that I thank God I still am alive to make choices. When one battles cancer..they are powerless to change it without outside help and resources, and treatments..and in the end they don't always win the battle, through no fault of their own.
My brother died in my arms, it was the worst experience in my life and the best experience at the same time. I felt his being leave his body before he actually stopped breathing..he was released from his prison of pain...to go on to a better place.
When one battles weight, one must grab the power from within and go for it.  We, who are simply overweight, do have the power to take the control of that which is destroying us and change it.  I bet my brother would have done anything for that choice.
So my advice....give it your all and you will see that this program works...the first week is tough but hang in there... this way of life has brought peace of mind, love of self, and hope for the future for me...and it can for you as well..  Go for it!
