Today I went and met my personal trainer. I was a bit nervous and had no idea what to expect. She asked me what brought me to the gym and what did I expect to accomplish. So for the next fifteen minutes she listened while I went to confession, telling her my whole life story in regards to weight and wellness.( thinking she got way more information than she had bargained for) I ended up by saying, So here I am I can't walk and chew gum at the same time wanting to tone and firm this overweight body of mine...You have your work cut out for you, and I am going to be a challenge. She smiled and said..oh no you are not, you are motivated with a goal.( I thought wow , she is talking about me, and she is right I am motivated...) Then she asked me about my eating style at present which sent me into another 15 minute talk on Michael Thurmond's six week body makeover. She commented at the end that it sounded like a great program,although she had never heard of it before. She remarked that there was much truth in eating six meals a day, drinking 100 ounces of water and exercising in moderation. Also, that it was important to eat some carb and protein before exercising. The rest of the time was spent using the equipment correctly, setting up a prelimary program,and riding a stationary bike. I left there liking her and me... |
