A Nail is driven out by another nail. Habit is overcome by habit.
Desiderius Erasmus

I don't know where the days go, can't believe it has been 6 days since I journaled.  I am happy to report that I have remained on program since restarting this journal and it is getting easier every day.  It really is all about habits...one has to learn to replace a bad habit with a good one.. sounds easy enough in theory but it is a bit more difficult in reality.
Focusing on who you are and where you are going and how you are going to get there is the important factor.  I read somewhere that once you do something for a month on  regular basis it is considered a habit.
I found myself slipping into some of my old habits over the summer..I wasn't prioritizing and remaining focused, I was sliding ever so slowly.. This time it scared me..not so much with having fifteen pounds on, but the change in attitude...Once you stop making your weight and health your priority..you open up doors to disaster.  I am just thankful that I caught what was happening before too much time had passed.
It takes some real inner planning for me to stay on the straight and narrow.  The best thing I do for myself is anticipate and plan.  I look at my schedule for the day and plan my meals and my exercise around it.  This coming weekend we are taking a seven hour drive to look at a college in New York that my daughter is interested in going to.  It means that I have to figure out what to bring on the trip which means a cooler with the correct food.  I am sure we will be going out to dinner but what I will do is take some already cooked chicken in a baggy in my pocket book into the restaurant to have with a salad if they do not have on plan food.  The only drawback I can see regarding the weekend is getting my husband to stop when I need a bathroom....when he is on a mission he hates interruptions...lol
Have a great on plan kind of day!
