Sometimes I just don't get it. People want to lose weight..but make a thousand excuses why it is not happening...most of those excuses are because of something that has happened...or blamed on someone else's actions.
The ony way we got overweight in the first place is because of our own actions and choices. No one tied us down and force fed us. It was our response to our own desires.
Sometimes we eat because we are happy or celebrating an event...perhaps it is the holiday and we are feasting with those we love..or perhaps it is that we are sad, lonely, or angry. Whatever the reasons we must all be honest and realize that our obesity came from within. It was ours and only our response to a given situation. It is time to place the blame where it belongs.
Once we realize that our eating was our choice, we can start to look at losing weight from a different perspective. Food is not joy or love.. Food is what we eat to sustain us physically. Nothing more, nothing less. Many of us equate it with so much more.
To be able to lose weight and keep it off we have to come to terms with why we eat and then make a conscious effort to change our eating habits. It does take a lot of work. The first step is realizing no one made you fat.. you did..the next step is to do some research on good eating styles. Find one that you can live with and then take action.
Remember dreams remain dreams unless action is taken.
If you are unhappy with who you are in a physical sense..then you and you alone have to change it..
Although the journey is solitary..there is lots of help and support around. I found mine from my family and a place here online :
