Each second we live in a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that never was before and will never be again. And what do we teach our children in school? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? You should say to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are unique. In all the world there is no other child exactly like you. In the millions of years that have passed there has never been a child like you. And look at your body-what a wonder it is! Your legs, your arms, your cunning fingers, the way you move! You may be a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel.
Pablo Casals

So many of us from a very early age knew we were not "normal". Funny no one ever told this fat child that she was unique, other than her mother. It really should not matter what we look like, what color our skin is, what handicaps we have; be it physical or mental. We are unique. We are people with our own heart and soul. How boring the world would be if we were all the same!
Yes, we need to teach our children that the beauty from within is the most important. That it is a miracle that in this huge world, no one is exactly alike. We can be who and what ever we desire to be. We need to strive to be our best and share our talents with others.
It is funny how people react to me now that I am thinner....actually it is sad. Men open doors for me... people don't look at me like I am a second class citizen. It appears to me that people find me far more approachable, but in actuality I am the me I was last year.. healthier and happier..not because I look so different but because I am soooo much more healthy. I know I am going to live to see my kid's kids...last year I felt obesity robbing me of my life...hindering my ability to do things I wanted to do.
I am thrilled I am thin for health's sake..but you know I am still the same me...
